Froyo Scoop

Posted on Wednesday 9 May 2007

While driving yesterday to Costco I had a sudden realization. There needs to be some frozen yogurt here in Orange County. Well, we do have Yogurt Land in Fullerton. But we need something more towards central OC.

As I drive by this newly constructed plaza with many empty locations a pastel colored banner catches my eye. Could it be? Do dreams really come true?I don’t have to drive 20+ miles for frozen yogurt? I took a chance and drove into the plaza to get a better look and this is what we saw:

There it is folks, soon to open is Dolci Mango with the slogan of “European Natural Non Fat Frozen Yogourt”. Funny how they spell yogurt with an ‘o’. Located on the corner of Brookhurst Avenue and Garden Grove Blvd. Does not look like it will be open anytime soon, probably 3 or 4 months from now. But the wait is on. We’ll have the first review for you guys.

cool website. I tried this place out in the San Diego area over labor day weekend. I thought it was fairly good. My family enjoyed it as well. The texture seemed more on the creamy side to me, which I know some people like. I thought their prices were very reasonable. Their small with no toppings was $2.50 and they gave you a pretty hefty amount. I hope the Garden Grove one is so generous. Any clue as to when the Garden Grove one will open. I live in Santa Ana, so it’s not too far for me.
