If you’re looking for a place to casually hang out and enjoy Japanese culture, Sawtelle is the spot!
Tonite, I cruised down Sawtelle Blvd, and found parking on a nearby residential street. There are small plaza lots, and scattered meter parking available also.
After trying a caramel apple waffle from BabyBlonde, only $1.85, I had enough room to satiate my craving for frozen yogurt. Hence, I made a quick pitstop at the nearest Pinkberry.
Location:
11301 Olympic Blvd #107
Los Angeles, CA 90064

This Pinkberry is tucked in a plaza that houses a travel agency, a fusion korean restaurant called “Zip” and a few other local businesses on the corner of Sawtelle and Olympic. For a Monday night, the scene was not too crowded yet still formed a tiny line for frozen yogurt. I settled for a small green tea and rice cake (mochi!), which rang up at $4.45. Yes, there is a con with Pinkberry, it’s a little pricey compared to other froyo shops. Some argue you are paying for quality. I reason, they charge this much, simply because they can. Likewise, why does Starbucks charge $5 for a coffee? People will still keep coming back. Like me. I couldn’t resist, as long as I knew it was within radar, I had to get my froyo fix of the night.
