Cherry On Top, in Diamond Bar, offers 10 different flavors of froyo.
You have your usual plain tart, green tea and the fruity flavors such as peach, mango, and strawberry. I had a combo of the plain tart and green tea. On top of that, it was hard to miss the island full of fresh fruit toppings and sweets.
They also have a variety of syrups to choose from. Unfortunately they ran out of the oh-so-popular mochi. But as the saying goes, “when one door closes another door opens“, so I decided to try their fresh red bean and cheesecake toppings. It was not a bad choice at all.
In terms of the froyo, I’ve had better plain tart elsewhere but the green tea was good. If you are a fan of the tart taste, this will be ‘the’ place for you. The texture or icy-ness was a little on the soft side for me.
However, overall, the experience was a very good one. The decor is very hip and trendy and they even have a small flat screen tv for your entertainment as you enjoy your froyo.
Not only are they right off a main freeway but when you go inside, you are greeted by the friendly staff. The best thing, I would say, is that everything is self-serve, which means there’s no empty space in the middle of your serving and you definitely get your money’s worth! They charge only $0.39 per ounce!
