The turnout was populous, in fact, it was rather difficult to get a parking spot. The plaza is tiny to begin with, but packed with cozy and busy restaurants like I Luv Sushi, Mazatlan Mexican Grill, and even good old Quizno’s. Smiling faces lined up to get their share of Red Mango.

The store set-up is roomy and loungy, utilizing a lot of bright colors, and of course, the decor is consistent with other Red Mango’s. The workers were enthusiastic, and happy to serve those who have come out for the grand opening. Red Mango has always touted the health benefits of their froyo, and proudly display this in the store along with their slogan “Treat Yourself Well”.

As we all know Red Mango is known for their signature two flavors: original or green tea. To quench my craving for both, I went with their “swirl” for half green tea, half original, topped with none other than our favorite mochi.

And the verdict?

So far, froyo from Red Mango continues to exceed my expectations. The flavor has not let me down yet, and I would recommend the swirl for anyone who has a hankering for both green tea and original. The consistency of their yogurt is never too icy, and somewhat on the creamier side. Their mochi is excellent here, not too powdery and just the right texture. All of the toppings look fresh and tempting, although I have heard some who have mentioned sometimes Red Mango might be a little stingier with their toppings than others. This is all relative of course, probably to which Red Mango you visit and maybe even your server. This time around, I happened to luck out and got a good heap of mochi. One thing’s for sure, you can’t go wrong here, this is a safe bet for those who appreciate good froyo.

If you’re not in the mood for the standard frozen yogurt, Red Mango also offers “blenders” a drinkable blend of frozen yogurt and three toppings. If you’ve tried a blender, let us know what you think.

Not only does Red Mango already rock, but this location has a gem in it named Tatiana. She’s VERY enthusiastic about yogurt, it’s quality, flavor and benefits. She always has the answer to any question I’ve got and a smile to go along with it.

I love that Red Mango is 100% yogurt, low in calories and that beautiful tart flavor is natural (as opposed to competitors like pinkberry who put dairy in their yogurt and have to add that tartness artificially). Lactose intolerant south-equatorial yogurt quested individuals eat freely!!
