We finally made a trek to Yogurt Pad down in Westminster, CA and we weren’t disappointed.
The first thing about Yogurt Pad is that it is off the beaten path, if you didn’t know it was there or aren’t very cognizant when you drive you’d probably miss it. This froyo joint is located in a strange plaza that is set behind another one. To find it, look for the Pizza Hut and you’d immediately find its location. That or you could just use our map and calculate your own directions.

Yogurt Pad follows the legacy set forth by Yogurtland and Yogurt World. They offer you the ability to self serve your own yogurt. The store is neatly laid out with seating areas to the right and the slew of churning yogurt machines on the left. All of the toppings are located at the back of the rear of the store.

Yogurt Pad offers you all the froyo you can have at the cost of $.30/ounce. The night that we went they had the following flavors:
- Coconut
- Pineapple
- Plain
- Strawberry
- Pecan Praline
- Taro
- French Vanilla
- Cookies and Cream
- Mango
- New York Cheesecake.
From what we know, they change their flavors daily so you may or may not see those flavors if you top by the next time.

I dabbled in each flavor and came away with Pineapple as my favorite. It didn’t taste too artificial or sweet. All of their flavors in fact had a very good consistency and flavor to them. I always go for the traditional and was quite surprised. Their plane had some of the best consistencies that I have recently seen. It was very smooth, not overly icy. The creaminess and taste was also to my liking. I could have used a few more hints of tartness, but thats just my personal preference.

For toppings I went with: Strawberry, Mango, and Mochi. The fruits were very well ripened and fresh. I was particular favoring the sweet mango that I had toppled on my concoction. One gripe with their toppings bar is the ability to reach the ones in the back. The glass panel blocks you from reaching the items in the back, in my case the Mochi. Which I had to require the assistance of the froyotier to get.
All in all I was very impressed with the quality of their yogurt. Yogurt Pad seems to have done their homework, and didn’t just open a froyo joint just for the sake. Their consistency and offerings of flavors really impressed me. I have to go back and try their plain again to make sure they are keeping consistent with their formula and ingredients.

yogurtpad is the best! out of the worlds and lands, their yogurt is awesome especially for their price of .30 an ounce. the last two times i went they had green tea :), the yogurts are not too icy nor too creamy just perfect. i love the new york cheesecake, and when i went there the other itme, the owner was there, saying that they use real yogurt, not powdered up like pinkberry or etc. the workers are also very friendly and welcoming. i have pictures of the yogurt but i don’t know if it will work on here
I didn’t like it, a few of the flavors had a strange taste to it and the fruit wasn’t ripe. And they need to get rid of the sneeze guard on the toppings, you can’t reach them! The girl who worked there was super nice and helpful though.
