Dolci Mango in Garden Grove has been in construction for some time as we reported back in May. They’ve finally opened shop and we got a chance to stop in and give it a taste.
The décor of the store was very modern featuring bright colors and a welcoming environment to hang out. Unfortunately, this was a short stop so we don’t have any pictures of their store.
Dolci Mango is located at the intersections of Brookhurst and Garden Grove Blvds.

The day we went they were offering three different flavors: plain, mango, and raspberry.
I opted for the medium plain with: mango, strawberry, and mochi and small mango with just mochi. We did try a small sample of the raspberry and found it very tasty.
The plain yogurt in our opinion was very icy; the consistency was crystallized and lacked any smoothness to it. Their plain tart flavor also left a very prominent powdery after taste in my palette. Dolci Mango does get points for having very tasty mochi, but that’s where the buck stops. A big gripe we have is with their frozen strawberry toppings, yes frozen! Never have we had a strawberry froyo topping that was frozen. We think that they were trying to keep them fresh by freezing, but honestly it was a bad call. It really ruined the froyo experience for us. The mango topping was just okay, they could have used more ripened mangos.
As for the mango topping it had the same consistency as the plain but with the flavoring of mango. I felt the mango flavoring didn’t really taste like mango, it had a strange taste to it. We did chat with the friendly girl serving us and she mentioned green tea was pulled off their menu due to lack of sales. A final positive note is that they really do pile on the toppings, so your sure to not get shafted.
We hope that Dolci Mango – Garden Grove improves on their toppings and tweak their froyo flavorings. Hopefully when we stop in the next time to check up on them we’ll have some positive things to say.
