50th Pinkberry Store Opens

Posted on Friday 18 April 2008

What better location to mark their 50th store opening then the posh Fashion Island in Newport Beach (4th Orange County store). Pinkberry is not giving away free frozen yogurt to celebrate their opening but instead offering 100% of the proceeds to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.

They are giving away free t-shirts to the first 200 customers. The grand opening will take place next Friday - April 25, 2008 from 12pm - 2pm. You also have the opportunity to meet the founders of Pinkberry (Why you would? We have no clue…).

I, for one, would like to attend this event to ask the wonderfully manipulative owners some very pointed questions. Is it true that you lied about your ingredients and caloric content so that you could make millions for Howard Schulze and yourselves? Is it true that you don’t give a rip about your customers? Is it true that at the beginning of your business you claimed that your yogurt cured cancer but had to remove the claim? Is that why you are supporting a cancer charity for kids? Do you feel guilty? Or are you using the charity to sell more yogurt with unhealthy ingredients? Of course you’re not giving your yogurt away for free – it’s Fascist Island for goodness sake. The median annual income in a 5 mile radius of this mall is $166,000. I would love to see the owners but something tells me that somehow, some way, they will have an unexpected emergency at the last minute and not show up. Maybe they can send Howard in their place? Oh wait, no, he is too busy cleaning the egg off his face.
