Passion Berry - Westminster, CA

Posted on Monday 5 May 2008

Froyo-aplenty in Little Saigon! Another frozen yogurt joint has recently opened in Westminster. If you want some dessert after gorging on some pho at Pho Thang Long, no fear - check out its neighbor Passion Berry.

The location is rather large compared to its neighboring yogurt locations, roomy and plenty of seating to go around. There are a few TVs above, and looks like a DJ station(?) up front, although it wasn’t being used when we stopped by.

On to the yogurt! 10 flavors to choose from, one new one I spied was “taro tart” which honestly tasted pretty good the first bite, but got a little heavy after a few. Non-taro fans find it a bit daunting. Being a stickler for plain, I was also not impressed too much with their version of plain. However, fellow Froyominders have recommended their berry flavors as safer alternatives.

Passion Berry offers a large selection of toppings including your standard fruits, generic cereals, and crumbled cheesecake and mochi. This mochi fan gives Passion Berry’s mochi the OK, it’s a little on the chewier side, but meets my stamp of approval.

Since Passion Berry is also another self-serve joint, expect to pay 30 cents/oz and load up the way you want. They also offer shaved ice, for all you shaved ice fans. And get free wi-fi, just ask for the code at the counter. We notice many froyo stores are offering wi-fi for those who choose to eat in.

Hm, it was okay, the consistency of the yogurt was better than most places. the dj was there at the time, and it was annoying because they played the music too loud and you cant hear what people tell you. the workers could try to say hi, because they were so quiet. overall unique w/ the dj stuff and wifi. the yogurt was alright for the .30/once but i thought they could of had better flavors, peanut butter?

Great place. I can come and hang out with friends or come surf the net on my laptop. Yogurt is great. Better than most place I’ve been to. Plain tart, Passion, Mango and Lychee are my favorites here. Their plain tart taste kinda like Pinkberry to me, yet cost way less. Fresh fruits and plenty of toppings. Love this place.

    GROSS! TOO SWEET! YUCKY!

this is what i think about this fobby yogurt shop!. the decoration is too fobby with the orange and green, the yogurt is pretty gross where they are too sweet or too sour. i really hate this yogurt shop.

I like YOGURTPASSION WAYYY MORE!!! YUMMMYYY! THEY HAVE NICER WORKERS AND MORE SOPHISTICATED DECORATIONS, UNLIKE THIS WANNABE YOGURT SHOP.

I like this place! The people here are down to earth. The decoration are unique. They have a high ceiling which make the place different from other yogurt shop. They had a dj that was playing 80’s, new wave, r&b, and some trance. How many yougurt shop do you know have a dj playing for the customer? I didn’t like some of their flavors though, then again, I only like plain tart anyways, so that comment is bias.

Overall, I would recommend this place for anybody that is in the area and looking for a place to hang out and eat some fine yougurt.
