Pinkberry + Sorbetto = Confirmed

Posted on Saturday 19 July 2008

We mentioned in our last post spotting the ‘Pinkberry Sorbetto’ being tried out in the Southern California market.  Our curiosity got to us so we ventured down to our nearest Starbuck’s (calling first of course to make sure they had the Sorbetto).  As we pulled up to the drive-thru we spotted the promotional display.  The Pinkberry logo immediately jumped out at me!

Giddily we placed our order with the barista and quickly drove up to the pick up window.  To our surprise the size was pretty big, it was perfectly white.   The first sip immediately brought out the fact that this drink has Pinkberry frozen yogurt mixed in.  The drink actually tasted like Pinkberry’s frozen yogurt, down to the slight tartness that we have come to expect from their froyo.  We actually liked it a lot, it is actually easier to enjoy your froyo this way while driving!

We reviewed the nutritional facts and were rather disappointed to find a 10 ounce serving of this froyo mix runs 250 calories!  Not to mention 50 grams of sugar.  If your think that the drink maintains the health benefits of frozen yogurt think again! However it does satisfy the craving if your no where near a Pinkberry.

So go down to your local Starbuck’s to see if they are offering the new Sorbetto.  Sorry but only those of us in Southern California will be able to try this new flavor.  The next step in our quest is to find out how Starbuck’s makes this concoction, so stay tuned.

If you’ve tried the Pinkberry Sorbetto how would you rate it?
